State of the Art Underwater Mine Disposal Systems

BODAC collaborated with ECS Special Projects Ltd to design a Mine Disposal system to Bodac’s specific requirements producing a State of the Art, robust and safe underwater disposal system.

The system retains all the main characteristic of the Market leading Cobra MDS. The bespoke system meets DEF Standards, International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATG), International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.

With this system BODAC can conduct underwater Render Safe Procedures, Recovery or Disposal of Explosive Ordnance (EO) in a safe, cost and time efficient manner.

The Bodac Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team can now undertake Global EOD actions:

  • As a routine part of UXO clearance operations, upon discovery of EO;
  • To dispose of EO discovered outside hazardous areas, (this may be a single item of EO), or larger number inside a specific area); 
  • To dispose of EO which has become hazardous by deterioration, damage or attempted destruction; 
  • 24/7 hour availability on e.g. dredging operations in a post war hazardous environment.
